Hospitalisation à la clinique du chat depuis lundi soir. Je suis mal, comme mon Homme, de la laisser seule là-bas. Spas est terrorisée, tétanisée…elle, qui est si adorable avec nous malgré son caractère atypique, se transforme en tigresse hargneuse lorsque des mains expertes s’approchent d’elle pour l’examiner. Triple dose de sédatif pour la calmer et effectuer les examens nécessaires au diagnostic. Spas résiste…ils n’ont jamais vu une telle furie.
Nous nous inquiétons, nous nous rongeons les ongles, nous stressons pour elle. C’est un vide insupportable à l’appartement. C’est un chat oui mais c’est notre fille qui est malade ! Mercredi, les examens ont pu être réalisés après un nouveau protocole de sédation. Le diagnostic tombe. Des calculs vésicaux au moins six et gros…Saletés de cailloux. Je passe voir Spas hier après midi. J’avais l’impression de rendre visite à un prisonnier. Elle était dans une cage, spacieuse, propre mais je l’ai vue toute terrorisée, tremblante, miaulant (”tu vas me sortir d’ici !”) de désespoir exacerbé par l’odeur de peur dégagée par tous ces animaux convalescents autour d’elle. Spas semblait se rassurer à entendre ma voix, à profiter de mes caresses mais elle était encore stone après cette sédation.
J’ai vu le vétérinaire qui m’a exposé les différentes options thérapeutiques. Pédiatrie c’est comme de la médecine vétérinaire après tout…je pèse le rapport risque bénéfice. J’en discute avec mon Homme. Nous sommes d’accord sur la marche à suivre. Nous optons pour la solution radicale.
Demain, je serai stressé. Je ne serai rassuré que lorsque je pourrai la récupérer.
Demain Spas se fait opérer pour garantir une bonne extraction des calculs.
Mon Homme est allé la cajoler ce soir. Elle était heureuse, ronronnait sous ses caresses. Le personnel de la clinique vétérinaire était ravi de voir enfin Spas sous un meilleur jour. Oui elle est adorable puisqu’on vous le dit !! nous sommes un peu plus rassurés de la voir moins stressée…
Demain, Spas sera enfin soulagé de cette douleur et elle reviendra à la maison…enfin ! car elle nous manque terriblement !
